Unfortunately for those looking for reasons to jump into the PlayStation 5 ecosystem, another of its upcoming exclusives has now been delayed.
Announcement of the delay on Twitter, Bethesda and Tango Gameworks have revealed that the release date of Ghostwire: Tokyo is now pushed back to early 2022. “We want to get the game in your hands as soon as possible so you can experience the unforgettable version of a haunted Tokyo that we’ve worked hard to build,” the statement said. “At the same time, we are also focusing on protecting the health of everyone at Tango. Our new exit window will give us time to bring the world to phantom thread to life as we have always imagined it.
Little is known about the game itself at this time, but it is said to be a first-person action game set in a strange Tokyo where 99% of its population mysteriously disappears. Your job as the main protagonist will be to bring everyone back to where they were transported and restore Tokyo to its original state.
There is currently no specific release date beyond early 2022, so those interested should stay tuned for more updates to come.
