Xbox – PSP Oste Sat, 18 Sep 2021 01:06:00 +0000 en-US hourly 1 Xbox – PSP Oste 32 32 Confessed, Fable, The Elder Scrolls 6 and the future of Xbox Series X exclusive RPGs Sat, 18 Sep 2021 01:06:00 +0000

Xbox has had a pretty hectic generation so far with the Bethesda acquisition, multiple exclusivity deals, and an ever-growing library of Xbox Game Pass titles. Xbox has also taken a very different approach to the games it makes for this generation, who it targets and how it makes those games available to the consumer. While there are many plausible explanations for Xbox’s drastically different approach for this generation, three of its highly anticipated games – Declared, Fable, and The Elder Scrolls 6 – answer much of what Xbox is looking for in the ninth generation of video game consoles.

While Fable and The Elder Scrolls 6 are new entries in two of the most beloved RPG franchises, Declared is a brand new IP address with endless possibilities and high expectations. What is common between them is that they are all Western AAA RPGs currently in development at some of the most reputable game development studios in the world, all under the Xbox banner. While it’s too early to predict how these games will turn out, their eventual releases could change the image of the Xbox brand fans are now familiar with.

Confessed fable The Elder Scrolls 6

The original Xbox housed classic Western RPGs like Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2, Fable, and The Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind, developed by Obsidian Entertainment, Big Blue Box Studios / Lionhead Studios and Bethesda Game Studios respectively. Two decades later, with the exception of Big Blue Box and Lionhead studios, these RPG studios are once again crowning the Xbox collaboration, but this time as part of Xbox’s proprietary programming.

The fact that Obsidian Entertainment, Playground Games, and Bethesda Game Studios are now part of Xbox Game Studios may not be a coincidence. Xbox’s goal of reinvigorating classic Western RPGs while paving the way for whole new IPs for its latest generation of consoles may have a lot to do with replicating the success and popularity of the original Xbox.

This is one aspect where PlayStation and Xbox are taking different paths this generation. While PlayStation remains primarily focused on creating successful single-player action-adventure titles, like the ones that made the PS4 so successful, Xbox is looking to once again become the home of Western RPGs. That doesn’t mean RPGs are Xbox’s only focus this generation, but the fact that so many of its currently announced projects are RPGs speaks volumes about the direction the Xbox seems to be going.

Confessed Fable The Elder Scrolls 6 (1)

Declared, Fable, and The Elder Scrolls 6 These aren’t just three of the most anticipated Xbox Exclusive Western RPGs, but they’re three completely unique RPGs that presumably deliver hundreds of hours of gameplay. DeclaredThe reveal trailer may have made it seem like this is Obsidian’s version of Skyrim, although Xbox director Phil Spencer has since confirmed that Declared is very different from Ancient scrolls. Since Xbox also owns Bethesda now, which owns Ancient scrolls, it would be absurd for both Declared and The Elder Scrolls 6 offer too similar gameplay and story experiences.

While Declared could be a more hardcore RPG with a plethora of choices and branching narratives, Fable could be a leaner, more accessible RPG experience. The Fable reboot is Playground Games’ first adventure in the RPG genre, but the studio’s past experiences with open-world games are a sign that Fable is in good hands. Fable uses the ForzaTech engine, and if Forza Horizon 5 is an indication, Fable might be the prettiest game on Xbox Series X when it finally arrives. There are chances that Declared and The Elder Scrolls 6 will be traditional solo experiences, while Fable could shake things up with the addition of co-op and other online features. Playground Games experience with seamless multiplayer integration should not make the addition of online modes in Fable that surprising.

The Elder Scrolls 6 is one of the most anticipated video games currently in development. The sixth main installment in Bethesda’s fantasy RPG series is still years away from its release and could be the perfect way to wrap up the Xbox Series X / S generation. While the last two Old scrolls games are on PlayStation systems, chances are Elder Scrolls 6 will be an Xbox exclusive, at least if the latest report from famed gaming journalist Jeff Grubb is any indication. As Morrowind, Oversight, and Skyrim before that, The Elder Scrolls 6 could be the next evolution in the western RPG space. With the resources of Xbox and the advantage of delivery on exclusive platforms, The Elder Scrolls 6 could meet its unprecedented expectations.

While Declared, Fable and The Elder Scrolls 6 could be the ultimate role-playing experience on Xbox this generation, there are many more games in store to solidify the Xbox as the home of western RPGs. Starfield, Bethesda Game Studio’s first new IP address in 25 years, is a sci-fi RPG released exclusively to Xbox Series X / S and PC in 2022. Bethesda claims Starfield is Skyrim in space, which only increased fan expectations. On the other hand, Obsidian turns out to be the PlayStation insomniac, simultaneously working on Based, The Outer Worlds 2, and an unannounced project outside of Declared.

While all of this seems to indicate that an overwhelming number of Western AAA budget RPGs are heading into this generation’s Xbox ecosystem, it seems the company has no plans to stop there. According to famous game journalist Jez Corden, IO Interactive is working on a AAA fantasy RPG for Xbox, codenamed Dragon Project. Keeping in mind previous IO projects, Dragon Project could be an RPG based on sandbox type gameplay, similar to the canceled title of PlatinumGames Ladder.

Another big rumor suggests that FromSoftware is working on a sci-fi RPG exclusively for Xbox. FromSoftware has created Xbox exclusive titles like Chromehounds and Ninja Blade in the past, so this rumored collaboration doesn’t seem too far-fetched. With Declared, Fable, and The Elder Scrolls 6 leading the charge, and other intriguing projects reportedly in the works, the Xbox line of low-budget AAA RPGs looks too good to be true. While most of these titles might not be out anytime soon, the fact that they are happening should keep Xbox fans excited at the moment.

History and factions of Phoenix Point

Before the events of Phoenix Point, a pandemic created by an alien virus, named Pandoravirus, has decimated humanity and brought it to the brink of extinction. The Pandoravirus, at the time of play, infected the entire ocean, contaminated and distorted all marine life, and dominated the land via an airborne mutagenic haze. The horror elements of Phoenix Point Take inspiration from HP Lovecraft and John Carpenter.

Players begin the game as the leader of the base at Phoenix Point and a cell of the Great Phoenix Project, a pre-pandemic organization that was waiting to aid humanity in an era of global peril. The airframe is filled with talent, but after they are put together, Project Phoenix seems to disappear. So, as players fight for the future of humanity, they will also work to solve the mystery of Project Phoenix. Players must face the mutations of the pandoravirus, fight for control of resources, forge alliances and more throughout the game.

There are a total of 5 endings at Phoenix Point, with the endings being based on factions found in the game world, including the aforementioned Project Phoenix; Anu’s followers, who worship an alien god, develop human-alien hybrids and hide in caves; New Jericho, a highly militant faction that seeks to directly combat the alien threat; and Synedrion, who are the most technologically advanced faction and are described as “radical” environmentalists seeking to build a new and better human civilization.

Phoenix Point gameplay and enemies

Phoenix Point Boss Battle

Players can expect game tactics and overall strategies similar to those seen in XCOM, corn Phoenix Point makes its own variations. For example, alien players face mutation and evolution as they adapt to player tactics and technology, adding new dynamic elements to the overall combat and approach. These aliens are procedurally generated and include random body parts, sizes and shapes depending on the control of the Pandoravirus on the planet. The regions controlled by the Pandoravirus add to the pool of extraterrestrial mutations available.

Where aliens are victorious in Phoenix Point, they can mutate depending on the weapons and technology used to fight them. The reverse is also possible: Aliens who constantly lose can mutate to develop new abilities for natural selection, such as new attacks, physical defenses, and threads. Overall, the game’s AI adapts the gameplay to the way the player approaches it.

At the same time, players will have to compete and face off against the aforementioned factions in order to capture important resources; it is even possible to loot one of the Phoenix Pointenemy refuges. These resources are then used to facilitate the growth of the player’s abilities and facilitate the growing strategy of the player. Phoenix Point. As players grow, more and more strategy options become available globally and can help define how a player approaches the game.

On paper, Phoenix Point looks amazing, and its PC reviews indicate “mixed or average” reception. It remains to be seen how well received it is on PS4 and Xbox One, but certainly, Xbox Game Pass subscribers who love XCOM have nothing to lose by checking it out.

Phoenix Point is out now for PC and Stadia, with release on PS4 and Xbox One on October 1.

GTA 5 PS5 and Xbox Series X / S trailers rated on YouTube Fri, 10 Sep 2021 22:55:00 +0000

The new trailers for the upcoming releases of Grand Theft Auto V on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S are garnering massive aversion from fans on YouTube.

The new trailers for Grand Theft Auto V to Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X / S are rated on YouTube, following a dissatisfied response to the quality of the improved visuals, and an unconfirmed notion that the games will be full-price releases. The PS5 version of GTA V was shown during the PlayStation Showcase, with a trailer outlining some of the cosmetic upgrades and new features.

The trailer also confirmed that GTA V was delayed on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. Ports were originally slated for release in November, but were pushed back to March 2022. The trailer showed the improved visuals fans can expect on current-gen systems, as well as seamless transitions when switching between characters. There were also images of GTA online, which is expected to receive a standalone version alongside the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S versions of GTA V.

Related: Everything Revealed During The PlayStation Showcase (September 2021)

The answer to current generation versions of GTA V has been unfavorable to say the least. A trailer for the PS5 version has been uploaded to the Playstation YouTube channel during the PlayStation Showcase. At the time of writing, the video has 15,000 likes and 34,000 dislikes. The same trailer on the Rock star The YouTube channel currently has 24,000 likes and 35,000 dislikes. The version of the trailer on the official website Xbox The YouTube channel currently has 1.3k likes and 2.7k dislikes.

Watch the PlayStation Showcase trailer for the GTA V port here.

The reasons for this negative response can be seen in the trailer comments. Many fans are dissatisfied with the quality of the visuals of the new versions of the game; the upgrade is compared unfavorably to a modified PC version of the game. There are also many people who believe that the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S versions of GTA V will be full price versions. This has yet to be confirmed by Rockstar, although it seems more and more likely. There are also fans who are eagerly awaiting GTA 6 and I feel that Rockstar will keep on milking GTA V for the coming years.

This isn’t the first time fans have come together to show their displeasure at an upcoming game with a wave of disgust on YouTube. The initial trailer for Pokemon unite was hated heavily on YouTube, to the point where The Pok√©mon Company pulled it down and re-uploaded a new one, once the anger died down. It remains to be seen if these YouTube channels will do the same for the new trailers of GTA V, or if they will have enough confidence in the popularity of the game to ignore the dislikes.

Microsoft acquired Clipchamp and could fix awful Windows and Xbox video editing tools Tue, 07 Sep 2021 21:47:37 +0000

Source: Clipchamp / Microsoft

Windows 10 and Xbox both have the worst video editing tools on Earth. Maybe even in the history of the universe. There are primitive alien species on a previously unknown planet – aliens who have yet to master the art of fireworks – yet have better video editing tools than Windows. Alas, that could be about to change, thanks to Clipchamp.

Clipchamp is a web-based video editing suite used by businesses large and small to quickly and easily create professional-looking clips. It offers a free trial, but typically costs $ 9 per month for 720p videos. It’s a bit pricey, but there’s every reason to believe Microsoft will likely integrate it into Microsoft 365 or Xbox Game Pass, given how desperate Windows and Xbox are for vaguely decent video editing capabilities.

VPN offers: lifetime license for $ 16, monthly plans for $ 1 and more

Indeed, in the comments of the announcement blog, Chris Pratley of the Office group at Microsoft has strongly hinted that Clipchamp will be moving to the Microsoft 365 subscription service.

As a web application that uses the full power of your PC, Clipchamp is a natural fit for expanding cloud-based productivity experiences in Microsoft 365 for individuals, families, schools and businesses. It is also an ideal solution for Microsoft Windows, which is a platform for unlimited creativity. Whether you’re editing game clips, doing a school project, putting together a keepsake from your kids, or putting together the next indie short, Clipchamp and Microsoft will help you express yourself through the emotional power of video. If you are already a Clipchamp user, everything will improve with more options, more power, and the easy creation experience you love.

Xbox had a semi-decent video editing tool called Upload Studio, which was shut down after years of neglect. Windows itself has long struggled to find a decent competitor to what Apple’s macOS has to offer, with many Mac users citing proprietary tools like Final Cut as the main reason they avoid Windows.

Microsoft is updating the Photos app for Windows 11, but its current video editing capabilities are truly appalling. I’m getting better video editing tools on my Samsung phone right now which is both hilarious and sad. Fortunately, this new partnership with Clipchamp could finally fix one of Windows’ biggest weaknesses in the age of social media, where young people are growing up with creative video tools like Snapchat and Tiktok as an integral part of socializing and socializing. expression.

For Windows, being so far behind the curve has been frustrating, but the acquisition of Clipchamp could prove to be a big boost to Microsoft’s efforts in this space.

Xbox Series X Replenishment Updates: Check inventory at Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and more. Fri, 03 Sep 2021 22:12:32 +0000

Update: The Xbox Series S is currently available for purchase from Amazon and the Xbox Store. Both retailers have inventory on hand for more than a day now, but it’s too early to say if that means S-Series inventory is leveling off.

It’s been a quiet week for Xbox Series X | S restockings and with the holiday weekend upon us, the next restock could take more than a few days. In addition to the standard Xbox Series X and S Series, we’re keeping an eye out for the Halo Infinite-themed X Series. The Special Edition console launches November 15 for $ 550 and comes with a digital copy of Halo Infinite. You can view all the retailer listings for the X and S series below.

Where to buy an Xbox Series X: check availability

In the meantime, you can check out Xbox Series X listings at major retailers as well as the latest restocking news below. It may take a few weeks for you to get the system once you order it, so keep that in mind when planning your downtime. As of now, you still can’t really find the console in retail stores without a pickup order. While you can more easily buy the Xbox Series X above the MSRP in bundles or from reseller sites like StockX, we recommend that you wait to buy the new Xbox for its list price of $ 500.

The Xbox Series X ($ 500) and Xbox Series S ($ 300) were released on November 10.
The Xbox Series X ($ 500) and Xbox Series S ($ 300) were released on November 10.

Xbox Series X restocks at Target

Target’s Xbox Series X restocking strategy has changed quite drastically recently; the retailer’s new policy is that the Xbox Series X and S can now be sold as soon as inventory is available, rather than waiting for set delivery dates. This means that we now see the availability of the Xbox Series X almost every day at Target – however, that is only for certain locations with extremely limited stocks. As such, you should make sure that your zip code is updated before checking availability at Target. Both Order Pickup and Drive Up will be available for online orders, but no in-store console purchases are allowed.

Xbox Series X restocks on GameStop

GameStop tends to sell the Xbox Series X and S as expensive packs that include accessories like an additional controller or Game Pass. It recently restocked the Xbox Series X and Series S in bundles on August 17 for PowerUp Rewards Pro members.

Xbox Series X restocks at Best Buy

Best Buy restocked the Xbox Series X and S Series online on July 14. The retailer restocked the Xbox Series S most recently on July 29. While Best Buy didn’t have any consoles on store shelves at launch, recent restockings have sometimes included an option for in-store pickup. The latest restock was Best Buy’s fourth time to restock this month.

Xbox Series X restocks at Walmart

Walmart restocked the Xbox Series X and Series S for the last time on August 25, with Xbox stock remaining available for several minutes before finally selling out. Walmart tends to announce restockings a few hours in advance and release inventory in waves every 10 minutes.

Xbox Series X restocks on Amazon

Amazon restocked the Xbox Series X during Prime Day 2021 on June 22, but it sold out incredibly quickly. The S Series was restocked on Amazon on August 25.

When will the Xbox Series X | S inventory stabilize?

Microsoft initially said stock for the Xbox Series X | S would be “limited until at least June,” but it looks like consoles will be in short supply all summer. However, Microsoft hasn’t shared an update on the inventory situation for several months, and Xbox shortages will likely continue for some time due to the global chip shortage. The widespread semiconductor shortage affects several different industries, including the production of consoles as well as cars and other technologies. The shortage has “worsened steadily since last year”, according to The Guardian, and shows no signs of improvement at this time.

How to Buy an Xbox Series X: Tips and Tricks

Securing the Xbox Series X | S isn’t impossible; a lot of it is luck and being ready at the right time. However, here are a few things to keep in mind if you’re looking to buy a new Xbox (plus, check out where to buy the official Xbox wireless headset).

Follow replenishment accounts on Twitter and turn on notifications: When it comes to buying an Xbox Series X, it helps to follow Twitter accounts that tweet about restocking. You can also turn on notifications for these accounts, but keep in mind that some of them also tweet about offers and other news. Wario64 is a great account to follow, just like Xbox Stock Alerts. Of course, we tweet about Xbox restockings on our GameSpot Deals Account also.

Track restocking from a real-time Twitch bot tracking console: Twitch user killercam1020 has a 24/7 feed which uses a bot to track restocks for the Xbox Series X | S and PS5 at major retailers. The constantly moving wall of text usually displays “Out of Stock” in all stores, but when the bot detects the X-Series is in stock somewhere, you’ll be one of the first to know if you’re watching the flow. You can also follow Cameron Ritz, who manages the feed, on Twitter for updates.

Don’t buy from strangers on Twitter: It is never a good idea to buy the Xbox Series X at random on Twitter which offers it to you at a slight mark-up. Even if the account is verified and seems legitimate, Twitter scams are rife and you don’t want to risk losing hundreds of dollars. Stick with the major retailers and try to buy at list price.

Stay connected with major retailers and make sure information is up to date: To facilitate payment, it’s best to have up-to-date accounts at all major retailers, such as GameStop and Walmart. Also verify that your shipping and billing information is correct. You don’t want to update these sections during a restock when the X series might be sold out at any time.

Be prepared for exact replenishment times when announced in advance: Usually, Xbox Series X restockings happen without much warning, but Walmart and GameStop in particular have been known to announce restocks ahead of time, although it can be anywhere from a few days to an hour before restocking. These pre-announced replenishments can sell out particularly quickly, but being ready on your computer with payment information handy will give you the best chance of snagging an Xbox Series X.

Keep an eye out for small retailers: Stores like Amazon and Best Buy aren’t the only places to buy an Xbox Series X. You can also find next-gen consoles at stores like Newegg and Antonline. Stores that require some membership can also be a good option, such as the Exchange (military only) and Costco.

Know if you’re ready to buy a plan: Some retailers only sell the Xbox Series X in expensive bundles – these include the console as well as other items like a bonus controller, Game Pass membership, and games. You’re paying a premium here for getting products you want or not, so you have to ask yourself if you’re willing to pay above the MSRP just to own the Xbox Series X.

Xbox Series X Accessories | S

A wide range of Xbox Series X headsets, controllers and other accessories are available.
A wide range of Xbox Series X headsets, controllers and other accessories are available.

The great thing about Xbox Series X accessories is that the vast majority of products that are compatible with Xbox One also work with the X and S series, including headsets and controllers.

New Xbox Wireless Controllers released alongside the Xbox Series X and S Series, and they’re available in Carbon Black, Robot White, and Shock Blue. They have a more ergonomic design; textured grips on bumpers, triggers and rear housing; and a hybrid D-pad inspired by the Elite controller for improved precision. The updated controllers also have a new built-in Share button for capturing and recording gameplay moments.

Xbox gamers surprised with new free games Fri, 27 Aug 2021 22:59:00 +0000

Yesterday, Xbox unveiled the free Xbox One and Xbox 360 games that all Xbox Live Gold subscribers get on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series x for the month of September through Games With Gold. Over the past couple of years, the Games With Gold service has become a bit of a running joke, delivering terrible lineup after terrible lineup almost every month, especially compared to PlayStation Plus. That said, for the month of September, Xbox Live Gold subscribers are pleasantly surprised with the free games they get.

For those who missed the announcement, the lineup – which consists of Warhammer: Chaosbane, Mulaka, Enders Zone HD Collection, and Samurai Showdown II – there is nothing to write home for mom. However, it’s a decent offer, or at least that’s what the reaction on Twitter suggests.

“Wait, is it a good month? Not used to this,” wrote a Twitter user from the range. “Rubs his eyes … Is that it? … It’s a Game with Gold [lineup] I actually wanna play … Whoaaaa, ” added another user.

Of course, there are a lot of Xbox fans who aren’t so impressed with the lineup, but it’s inevitable. And again, the lineup and positive reception doesn’t compare to what PlayStation Plus has done on several occasions this year, but even a somewhat positive reception would be a big improvement for Games With Gold.

“Good not bad, War hammer, Enders area, and Samurai Showdown II are all solid. Never tried Mulaka but certainly, ” wrote another Xbox fan.

The aforementioned Games With Gold line, or at least part of it, will begin rolling out on September 1. Until then, be sure to download the free August games that are still available.

How to fix Apex Legends “server shutdown” error on PlayStation, Xbox and PC Tue, 24 Aug 2021 11:03:32 +0000

One frustrating error that has plagued Apex Legends fans for years is the internal server shutdown error that kicks them out of the game. Here’s how you can fix it.

Apex Legends Season 10 brought a plethora of new content to explore, but it also posed a few issues. The new Legend Seer has been nerfed to master, and Octane is facing some audio issues.

A common issue that plagues Apex Legends players since the battle royale was first launched is the internal “server shutdown” error that excludes them from the game.

How to fix the “shutting down server” internal server error in Apex Legends

As you can guess by the name, encountering this error means that an exception has occurred on the Apex Legends server that has not been managed or that has prevented the game from recovering.

Thus, the connected players are disconnected from the game and receive this message. Then it reboots with the same code base, so the problem may repeat itself. You will not be able to join a game until the issue is resolved.

If you can’t wait to get back into a match, there are a few different workarounds you can try.

Check the status of Apex Legends servers

If you get the “shutting down server” internal server error message before being kicked out of a game, it’s probably a problem with the servers that the developers will need to fix.

While the servers have been fairly stable since the launch of Season 10, you may still run into this issue. Luckily, we’ve got a great way for you to check the status of the Apex Legends server.

You will need to be patient and refresh the server status every few minutes to see if it is still online. Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon enough and you can resume a match soon.

Check your internet connection

While the internal server “shutting down” error message probably means the problem is on the developer side, you’ll want to make sure the problem isn’t with your device connecting.

Check your connection status in Settings, and if you are not properly connected, you may need to reset your internet device. Once the connection is reestablished, you will be able to play again.

Make sure you have the latest Apex Legends update

Sometimes errors like this can be caused by a bug that came with the latest Apex Legends patch. When this happens, Respawn often implements a fix through a new update patch.

You can check for updates on the Apex Legends page in the store, but you probably won’t have to, as the game will notify you. You might have an update queued up that you need to download.

It might not have downloaded right away due to your connectivity issues or your storage is full. If it is the latter, you will need to manually delete any unimportant items that are taking up space on your device.

This covers all the different ways you can fix the internal server “shutting down” error in Apex Legends. Don’t forget to also check how to fix Apex Legends shader loading and compilation issue.
