The developers at Torn Banner Studios have confirmed their full schedule for this week’s Chivalry 2 Open Beta.

The good news is that everyone on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X can get in on the action, with no pre-order required.

The open beta will also be available for a fair amount of time, which means everyone should have the option to download and play.

It should be noted that PlayStation users will be able to access the Open Beta for free, with no PlayStation Plus subscription required.

However, Xbox users will need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to play the Open Beta.

We also know the release time of the Chivalry 2 Open Beta, including the end of testing on all platforms.

Torn Banner also went into details of what will be playable in the next round of testing.

Chivalry 2 has already had a closed beta session, but more are planned for the coming week.

This will include new team objective matches, as well as new deathmatch options and customization features.

WHAT IS THE CHIVALRY 2 BETA OPEN RELEASE DATE?

The Chivalry 2 Open Beta release time has been set for 4 p.m. BST on Wednesday, May 27.

It will be a unified launch, which means all platforms will have access to PS4, Xbox, and PC at the same time.

A message from Torn Banner Studios confirms, “Scheduled to begin on May 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. (EDT) and end on June 1 at 11:00 a.m. (EDT), the Chivalry 2 Cross-Play Open Beta will be available for free to all players on PC (via Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One family of devices, and Xbox Series X console systems | S.

“The Chivalry 2 Cross-Play Open Beta client should also be available for pre-download on all platforms one day before May 26, 2021 at 11:00 am (EDT).

“The Cross-Play Open Beta will be the last playable test for Chivalry 2 before its global release date on June 8, 2021.”

CHIVALRY 2 OPEN BETA PROGRAM

As mentioned above, this week’s Chivalry 2 Open Beta will be a cross-play event and will also contain the following new content:

The Coxwell Massacre (New Team Objectives Map): The Mason Order seeks to make a brutal example of the peaceful village of Coxwell after declaring its support for Argon II. Burn the village, go through the door, steal the gold and kill the soldiers.

The Battle of Darkforest (New Team Objectives Map): Agathian forces wait, ready to ambush the Mason army advancing to slay the Duke of Fogbern’s dungeon. Destroy the barricade, push the convoy, capture and hold the sentry box, and kill the duke.

The Siege of Rudhelm (Team Objectives Map): After weeks of siege, the Agathian forces begin a final assault on a Mason stronghold defended by the Heir Mason. Push the siege towers, capture and hold the gatehouse, burn the tents, push the siege ramps, capture and hold the court, and slaughter the heir to achieve victory.

The Battle of Wardenglade (Team Deathmatch / FFA Map): The armies of the Mason Order and the Agathian Knights meet in an evenly matched open battlefield.

Tournament Grounds (Team Deathmatch / FFA Map): The elite warriors of the Mason Order and Agathian Knights fight for supremacy and crowd worship.

Free-for-All (New for Open Beta): It’s you against everyone in this chaotic free-for-all game mode that first appears in Cross-Play’s Open Beta.

Full Customization (New for Open Beta): Customize your in-game appearance and unlock a wide variety of cosmetic options as you gain experience with each of the game’s four base classes and 12 subclasses.

Duel Servers (New for Open Beta): Available for PC only, players can choose to enter special servers set up for players looking to hone their 1v1 dueling skills with other players. Participants are encouraged to respect the honor system and respect players aiming to focus on 1v1 duels.
