F1 Manager 2022 was technically announced a long time ago, but Frontier has finally made it official. The studio, known for titles such as Planet Coaster and Jurassic World Evolution, turns its talents to Formula 1.
This is an officially licensed management simulation for motorsport, and will be the first in a series of annual releases. Players will fill the role of a team leader, ensuring the success of your drivers and engineers in the quest for driver and constructor championships. According to the press release, the game will feature “broadcast-quality” visuals and provide fans with an engaging experience, “showcasing the intricacies of the world’s most prestigious racing brand.”
There aren’t tons of details yet, but it all sounds like what you’d expect from a management sim. Formula 1’s Ross Brawn said players will “upgrade racing cars and facilities, hire drivers and engineers, balance budgets and driver demands” and face “critical decisions” when races have location,
