Four people died in a fatal fire in Springboro

Pennsylvania State Police have provided an update on a fatal fire that occurred on April 1 in Springboro.

Police say the dead included Hilda Eberhart, 65, a 14-year-old man, a 10-year-old man and a six-month-old girl.

On April 1 at approximately 8:10 p.m., members of the Pennsylvania State Police Meadville were dispatched to an address in the 100 block of Union Street in Springboro Borough for a house entirely engulfed in flames.

Initial reports indicated that there had been an entrapment at this residence.

It was also reported that there were fatalities involved in this fire.

Several firefighters responded to the scene and were able to extinguish the flames.

Initially, the death toll was unknown. However, on April 2, police reported that there were four deceased people at the residence.

The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal was called to the scene due to the fatalities.

A 45-year-old woman was taken to hospital and is in critical condition.

A 63-year-old man was also taken to hospital and is in stable condition.
