Publisher Cygames and developer Cygames Osaka have deferred Action RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink from its previously scheduled release window of 2022 to 2023. It will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
Here is a message from producer Yuito Kimura on the delay:
Regarding the release date update
The development team worked hard to get Granblue Fantasy: Relink ready for its target release date of 2022. We understand the excitement players have for this game, so it is with great regret that we announce that the release date will be pushed back a second time to 2023.
Although the internal and external circumstances related to the novel coronavirus have been the main obstacle in the development process, the entire staff has spared no effort to make up for lost time. However, given the large-scale scope of this title, we believe more time is needed to polish and optimize details and gameplay as we approach the home stretch.
All graphics assets, script pieces, voices, music and other assets are in a completed state. At this point, we are focused on improving gameplay balance, debugging, improving audio and graphics fidelity, and generally improving the overall experience. We would like to ask for a little more of your patience.
More information was due to be revealed in June 2022, but for now we plan to share more details in December 2022. We can’t wait to show you what we have!
