Shivpal Singh Yadav formed the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (PSP) after leaving the Samajwadi Party. He left the SP after Akhilesh Yadav took over the party leadership from his father Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Earlier on November 3, Akhilesh Yadav announced that his party would form an alliance with the party of his uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav and grant him “full respect”.
Akhilesh Yadav said: “The Samajwadi party has tried to forge an alliance with smaller parties. Of course, we will also forge an alliance with Uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav’s party. The Samajwadi party will give him full respect. . “
Notably, the Samajwadi Party (SP) is the “Janadesh Maharally” across the state, and at one such rally in Ambedkarnagar district on Sunday, it officially inducted top BSP leaders Lalji Verma and Ramachal Rajbhar in the bosom of the party.
Verma was the leader of the BSP legislative party in the state assembly and the head of the BSP of Rajbhar state before being expelled by the BSP for “anti-party” activities. In the 2017 UP Assembly elections, Verma won the seat of Katehari, while Rajbhar won the Assembly constituency of Akbarpur.
Addressing the “Janadesh Maharally”, Akhilesh Yadav stressed that the upcoming State Assembly elections were crucial for democracy and invoked Dr BR Ambedkar to say that the country should be ruled in accordance with the drafted constitution. by the founding fathers.
He said: “It is also an election to save democracy and the Constitution,” adding that the country had a bad reputation around the world due to the “mismanagement of the COVID-19 pandemic” by the BJP.
BSP Supremo Mayawati, however, said taking the BSP “dealers” into its fold would not help the Samajwadi Party (SP) increase its mass base and would only weaken it.
His statement came just hours after SP leader Akhilesh Yadav inducted Lalji Verma and Ramachal Rajbhar into his party at his “Janadesh Maharally” in Ambedkarnagar district.
