Killzone Complete Collection leaked for PlayStation 5 and PC

According to a recently leaked image, Killzone the Complete Collection could be headed to PlayStation 5 and PC in late 2022.

Killzone is PlayStation’s flagship first-person shooter franchise developed by Guerrilla Games. Originally developed as a response to Halo, Killzone quickly found its place and established itself as one of the best double-handled first-person shooter games. The franchise was put on ice because Shadow Fall did not live up to Sony’s expectations, and Guerrilla began development on Horizon Zero Dawn.

According to a recent leak on 4chan, the main Killzone series could get a remastered treatment and make its way to PC alongside Sony’s latest generation of consoles, the PlayStation 5.

Killzone the Complete Collection could be released at the end of next year

The Killzone series consists of four main inputs and two portable spin-offs, for the PSP and the PS Vita. According to a recent image posted on 4chan, the four main entries of the franchise could receive a remastered collection for PlayStation 5 and PC, via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

While no official source has confirmed the leak, given Sony’s latest actions, it could be real. Recently, PlayStation has shown interest in bringing older titles, such as Guerrilla’s Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn, to PC, both of which have gained a dedicated fandom on the platform.

Additionally, Sony also recently announced Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves, a remastered collection of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s Life and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, for PlayStation 5 and PC in early 2022.

It was also recently reported that Guerrilla Games is currently recruiting for an unannounced multiplayer title, which could very well be Killzone’s iconic multiplayer.

According to the leak, Killzone the Complete Collection includes remastered versions of,

  • Killzone
  • Killzone 2
  • Killzone 3
  • Killzone Shadow Fall

While PlayStation’s proprietary games are still top notch, the publisher has sadly ditched several classic franchises. The only exceptions are God of War and Ratchet & Clank, both of which have undergone a notable overhaul.

It would certainly be surprising if Killzone returned, however, at the moment there is no credible source confirming the leak, as such it could very well be wrong.
