New FFVII Remake Enemy concept art looks at the Scissorclaw

June 22 is Crab Day in Japan, and Square-Enix celebrated with FFVII remake enemy concept art looking at the Scissorclaw. It’s a kind of crab enemy that appeared in both the original game and the remake. It also featured screenshots showing Barret using his Steel Pincers weapons while fighting one.

First, here is the FFVII remake concept art simply showing the design direction for the enemy. It involves a detailed look at her body from above and below. There is also an image of the enemy’s appearance in the original game at the bottom.

Next, here are the screenshots showing Barret facing a Scissorclaw in FFVII remake. He uses his steel claws for combat. (The official Square Enix comment says they’re as strong as the Crab’s Claws.) People can get this weapon from Moggie in the Sector 5 Slums.

Finally, here is the screenshot showing what the enemy looked like in the original game.
