- The new sale comes just days after the previous pre-order window for the Sony PS5.
- Orders placed on May 27 will be processed on June 7.
- There will be a limit of one unit per buyer during the sale.
It may sound too good to be true to some, but you better believe it ASAP. Sony will restock PlayStation 5 units on sale soon and begin preorders for the same later this week. As always, however, they are likely to be sold out within minutes.
The information was shared on the official Sony Center website, first spotted by IGN India. The ecommerce store has set up a notification showing pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 which are due to start at 12 p.m. on May 27. This means that interested buyers will be able to purchase the much sought after game console on the date and time.
The new pre-order series starts surprisingly just 10 days after Sony’s previous pre-orders. Sony says it will start processing orders placed on May 27 by June 7. This essentially means that game consoles will start shipping from June 7th.
Sony, however, clarifies that there may be delays due to the limited movement of non-essential items at this time. Those who find it easy to collect their units from the nearby Sony store can also do so.
Sony has a limit of one unit for each buyer and will not sell multiple units to a single customer. This means that even those who have already purchased a PlayStation 5 from the website will not be allowed to purchase another unit this time around.
So far, pre-orders have only been mentioned for the PlayStation 5 and not for its digital edition. However, users can still purchase accessories and games.
Since demand for the PS5 far exceeds supply, the sale is likely to be like the previous one, with stocks running out within seconds. Note that the Sony Center online store will need an ID in order for anyone to make a purchase. Therefore, users are advised to prepare with the ID and keep all detail information filled in before the May 27 release.
