Potential leak of the new PlayStation game state

The first PlayStation State of Play presentation for 2022 could take place in the coming weeks. Rumors associated with PlayStation’s video news series have started to ramp up in the last few days, with some theories suggesting the event will take place early next month. And while Sony has yet to confirm whether this will turn out to be correct or not, these theories seem to make some sense.

Video game industry leaker Tom Henderson was one of the main sources who started suggesting this week that a new state of affairs is coming very soon. Henderson said a number of new games coming to PlayStation 5 are expected to be shown to members of the media in the coming weeks. As such, he believes these media presentations will end up being tied to a State of Play broadcast based on how PlayStation has approached these situations in the past.

Henderson went on to say that the games that would likely be featured in this state of play presentation would include Ghostwire Tokyo, Gran Turismo 7, and also hinted that Hogwarts Legacy could also make an appearance. Hogwarts Legacy, in particular, was announced in 2020 but unfolded throughout 2021 without any substantial news for the title. As such, it stands to reason that WB Games will end up showing it soon to some extent, especially since it’s slated to launch later this year.

It should be noted that these inventory rumors should be taken with a fairly large grain of salt at this time. While what has been described here makes a lot of sense, we won’t know for sure whether or not a new event is happening until PlayStation itself announces it. Anytime that happens, we’ll be sure to let you know here on ComicBook.com.

Do you think the next PlayStation gaming state will eventually take place at some point in February? And if so, which games would you like to see appear during the broadcast? Let me know your thoughts in the comments or message me on Twitter at @ Mooreman12.
