PSP named America’s Best Small Airport in The Points Guy Readers’ Choice Awards

Palm Springs International Airport was named “America’s Best Small Airport” in the annual Readers’ Choice awards by travel website The Points Guy, airport officials said on Tuesday.

The 2021 TPG Awards were voted on by The Points Guy readers in four airport categories: Best US Large Airport, Best Mid-Sized US Airport, Best US Small Airport, and Best International Airport.

While PSP was named America’s Best Small Airport, Dallas-Fort Worth International won the Best Large American Airport award, Dallas Love Field was America’s Best Mid-Size Airport, and London-Heathrow International was the Best International Airport.

PSP was one of 34 nominees for the award. They were selected based on criteria established by the US Department of Transportation, which defined small airports as any airport that handles less than one million passengers per year.

“We are delighted that PSP has been named the best small airport in the United States,” said Scott White, President and CEO of Visit Greater Palm Springs.

“With its open-air walkways and lush landscaped courtyards that lead to baggage claim in minutes and breathtaking mountain views, PSP is a surprisingly welcome and stress-free experience for visitors. This Reader’s Choice Award is proof of that. “
