“I am proud to have been a part of something so special.”
Psychonauts 2 would have been developed without “cracking”.
According to a tweet posted by a senior producer at Double Fine over the weekend, the “amazing” team created “something so special” and managed to do it without the crackle, the industry term given to overtime. intense and often mandatory that many studios need in order for games to be completed on time to meet their release dates.
“Fun fact: Psychonauts 2 didn’t have a seizure,” Double Fine’s Kevin Johnson announced on Twitter (thanks, The player).
“The team has been amazing and I’m proud to have been a part of something so special that was done in the schedule that we set. I think you will have fun too.”

As announced during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, Psychonauts 2 arrives on August 25.
The third-person platformer experienced a series of delays, with developer Double Fine previously explaining that it needed more time to bring it up to standard and the studio needed time to adjust to its acquisition by Microsoft.
It’s slated for release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC, and will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.
