Riot unveils two League of Legends games for PlayStation, Xbox and Switch

Riot Games is set to expand its League of Legends tradition with two new games called CONV / RGENCE and Song of Nunu, coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and Nintendo Switch.

Two choices of beloved champions in League, Ekko and Nunu, get their own game from indie developers Double Stallion Games and Tequila Works, respectively.

These will be the next two releases of Riot Forge, the company’s initiative to tell more stories of Runeterra by independent developers. The games follow Forge’s first two titles, Ruined King and Hextech Mayhem, released on November 16.

Soon, League of Legends fans new and old will be able to see the worlds of Zaun as well as the Freljord when 2022 arrives.

Song of Nunu release date, trailer, platforms

Nunu’s Song is coming to PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG in 2022.

Nunu is in search of his mother and travels the Frejlord with his best friend Willump in a narrative adventure game.

Players will explore the frozen tundra of Frejlord while encountering League of Legends characters like Lyssandra.

CONV / RGENCE release date, trailer, platforms

CONV / RGENCE will launch on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG in 2022.

The 2D side-scrolling action platformer will feature Ekko and the sprawling world of Zaun. Its Zero Drive will lend itself to a gameplay mechanic that rewinds time to solve different segments.

Riot first explored Ekko’s next adventure in 2019, but fans finally get a glimpse of how the game will play out.

League of Legends game teaser in Demacia

The Riot Forge Showcase Nintendo Direct on November 16 briefly teased another League of Legends story in Demacia that has yet to be revealed.

Each project in the Direct was represented by a beacon of light from its specific region on the map of Runeterra.

The presentation ended by showing a Demacia beam that could hint at the stories of anyone like Sylas, Jarvan IV, Garen, and Lux.

A frame from Direct shows the Citadel of Dawn seconds before an arcane explosion breaks the chains surrounding the city.

Many notable League of Legends champions hail from Demacia, including a few like Kayle, Lucian, Fiora, Xin Zhao, and Vayne.

The game is said to be Riot Forge’s fifth total project on track for release since the publishing label’s inception in December 2019. Other beams of light have been seen coming from Shurima as well as from a land between Noxus and Demacia.
