Falcom will release a PlayStation 5 version of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki on July 28 in Japan for 5,800 yen retail and 5,500 yen download, the developer announced. Additionally, publisher Clouded Leopard Entertainment will release the PlayStation 5 version alongside a PC (Steam) version in Asia on the same day with traditional Chinese and Korean subtitles.
The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki first launched for PlayStation 4 on September 30, 2021 in Japan and Asia. A suite, The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II -CRIMSON SiN-is set to release on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 this fall.
Users who already own the PlayStation 4 version of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for 110 yen (about $0.86). (This is the standard for PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 upgrades in Japan for some games that are upgraded for free worldwide.) PlayStation 4 version save data may also be transferred to the PlayStation 5 version.
The PlayStation 5 version will come with improvements and new features, including 4K resolution and 60fps support, high-speed mode, and more.

New features
The PlayStation 5 version now supports 4K resolution and 60fps for even more stunning visuals. High-speed mode lets you select your desired speed for field battles and command, and in-game text size can be adjusted for a more comfortable gaming experience. In addition, the game contains an archive which presents the old episodes of the series as well as a glossary, so that newcomers to the Trails the series can jump directly.
The PlayStation 5 version also allows save data transfer from the PlayStation 4 version.

First printing copies of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki for PlayStation 5 will include the “Thank-You Mega Box Plus” DLC bundle, which adds the voice of Hollow Core “Latoya Hamilton” (voiced by Kikuko Inoue), and previously Asia-exclusive Van and Agnes costumes . The set consists of 33 items, including the original “4spg UNITED” costume color, “Xipha” battle orb customization covers, attachment items, and more.
