If you’ve got some obscene sums of money just waiting to be spent on gadgets that you’ll probably want to replace in the next five years or so, then do I already have a deal for you. Caviar, a Russian “design bureau” specializing in high-end and bespoke versions of popular gadgets, has just presented a new Prime collection of solid gold gadgets, including 18k versions of the, the , the and the .
The latter is the most expensive of the bunch, with Sony’s much-sought-after game console clad in 18k yellow gold plates and ringing at a princely sum of $ 320,000. Caviar only makes five of the things, the company adds.
“The powerful new PlayStation 5 game console is crafted from solid 18k yellow gold and embellished with subtle patterns for a light and airy feel,” writes Caviar. “The joysticks of the new model are covered with genuine leather and decorated with gold inserts. And even the console stand is full of luxury because it is made of premium ebony.”
Meanwhile, an iPad Mini with a gold back will set you back $ 75,000, and Caviar only makes six. A set of AirPods Max headphones adorned with gold and crocodile skin costs $ 60,000 and is limited to nine units. Finally, “the crown of the exclusive Prime Collection,” as Caviar calls it, is the gold iPhone 13 Pro. This one costs $ 38,000, and the company only makes 99.
The gold iPhone and iPad models are available for purchase today, while the gold AirPods Max and PlayStation 5 will ship to customers starting December 15, Caviar said.
