Here is the gist of the article as a video:
New updates are added at the bottom of this story …….
The original story (published September 30, 2021) follows:
Developed by New World Interactive and published by Focus Home Interactive, The Insurgency: Sandstorm is a tactical FPS video game originally released in December 2018.
This video game was released as a sequel to the original “Insurgency” released in 2014. It has just been released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One game consoles.
In addition, Insurgency: Sandstorm can also be played on platforms such as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Classic Mac OS.
Since the video game launched on two new game consoles – PS4 and Xbox One, gamers have been reporting crashing issues on the Xbox PlayStation and PC platforms. Multiple reports [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6] suggest that this problem is widespread.

Everything is fine until I try to play, then it immediately crashes, tries to remove corrupted data and install a new update (Source)
Basically the video game keeps crashing when players try to enter the game. For some it crashes multiple times in gameplay, while for others this issue haunts occasionally.
This issue bothers players on PlayStation, Xbox, or PC and varies from player to player. Not all players have the exact same problem, but in all cases the video game continues to crash or hang.
PC users have also reported that these issues occur after installing the latest update.
Fortunately, the company is well aware of these annoying issues and is actively investigating them. However, no ETA is provided at this time as to when this crash issue will be resolved.
Maintainers said there could be issues like groundbreaking crashes, loss of audio and textures, progress bugs, and more. And all of this is under investigation.
Meanwhile, some users have also found a temporary workaround that might help you get back to the game without crashing. According to reports, changing the screen resolution to 1080p corrects the problem.
If you are also frustrated with this crashing issue, then you should try the aforementioned workaround as a temporary solution. Otherwise, wait for the permanent fix from the company side.
We hope that the company fixes them as soon as possible and that players can enjoy the game again. We will keep you posted on the evolution of the story as we receive something new, in the meantime, stay tuned.
