Xbox invited fans to share their first experience with the brand and there are so many wonderful stories. It’s been a while since 2001 and the start Halo: Evolved Combat for the first time. There was a lot of concern that Microsoft might be biting more than it could chew to enter the console market with Nintendo and Sony. But, 20 years later, they’re still in the mix and a viable competitor. We’re still waiting for some of the brand’s most significant franchises to make their way to the Xbox Series X. But those should arrive later in the year. While players wait for that day, they can share their journey and where it all began. Whether it’s on the original, Xbox 360, Xbox One, or this current generation, there is always a story to share.

Phil Spencer is the man at the helm of the brand, and he told The Verge’s Nilay Patel that some of the fans are what keep them going.
“To be honest, I love the industry I’m in,” Spencer said. “It’s the job that I love. My wife will tell me that this is the only job I am qualified for, but it is definitely the job that I love. But this tribalism in the industry, if there was something that would one day drive me out of the industry, that’s actually what you’re talking about … [T]here is a core that really hates the other consumer product. Man, this is so confusing to me. Again, maybe that word is probably too light, “Spencer continued.” For me, this is one of the worst things in our industry. “

2001. I remember playing XBOX at my cousin’s house, after being introduced to Halo. I needed them in my life, and when I finally did, I cheated Mountain Dew Code Red with the best of them. https://t.co/8xRAuQVaSr
