Xbox Game Pass surprise title announced for May 17

Xbox Game Pass is adding another game to its library, in addition to the already announced list of titles that will be released in May.

Microsoft Xbox Game Pass was one of the company’s most successful services to launch in recent years. It allows players to experience hundreds of titles ranging from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for Infinite Halo, all at an impressive price. Now, as the service looks to expand its library of games and increase its growing numbers, Xbox Game Pass has announced a surprise title slated to launch this month.

One of the service’s biggest selling points is its regularly updated content library, where the company adds new titles to Xbox Game Pass every month. Recently, Microsoft announced a slate of games for Xbox Game Pass in May. This includes the likes of Little witch in the woods and Umurangi Generation Special Editionn for May 17, while several other titles such as Hardspace: Shipbreaker and Elite Sniper 5 are scheduled for the end of the month. The latest announcement of upcoming games adds to an already exciting list for Xbox Game Pass.

In an update on its social media channels, the service announced that players should expect Frontier Developments Jurassic World: Evolution 2 to hit Xbox Game Pass on May 17. The sequel improves on the first Jurassic World: Evolution, where players build their own Jurassic Park with a variety of dinosaurs, environments, tools, and a host of other engaging content. As of now, the game is available on PC as well as previous and current generation consoles.

Although little hype followed the launch of Xbox Game Pass in 2017, its appeal has grown significantly over the years and today the service is considered a staple for many gamers. While much of that comes down to its rich library, Game Pass’s success also stems from other offerings such as cloud gaming and the release of first-party Xbox titles to Game Pass on launch day. Now, with the upcoming Xbox and Bethesda games showcase, expectations for Xbox Game Pass continue to grow among fans.

But Xbox’s success hasn’t gone unnoticed. In fact, other industry players are already stepping up their subscription service efforts, including Sony. The company announced its own version of Game Pass a few months ago, and recently Ubisoft+ became available for PlayStation Plus and Premium members. Although time will tell how the competition will play out for gaming subscription services in the future. Regardless, Jurassic World: Evolution 2 on Xbox Game Pass promises to pique the interest of jurassic park fans, especially in the context of June Jurassic World Dominion film.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
