Other backward compatible titles for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S may arrive soon. It’s been a while since Microsoft added new original Xbox 360 and Xbox titles to the Backward Compatibility Library. However, we previously reported additional evidence that Microsoft was planning to add to the aforementioned library of nostalgic titles earlier this month. More evidence emerged a few weeks later, and it’s even more convincing than the previous batch.
Adding to the situation is the fact that the listing has since been taken down, suggesting that it went live early and was not yet meant to be seen. His list might just be a mistake, but while it is a possibility, it is unlikely. It’s also possible that for some odd reason this very lackluster game will be re-released and therefore the listing doesn’t show an Xbox Backward Compatibility Library expansion. But again, while it’s a possibility, it’s not likely.
The First Templar, a not-so-great Xbox 360 game from 2011, appeared on the Xbox Store this week, claiming to be compatible with the Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X, according to Reddit.
At the time of publication, none of the parties involved – including Xbox – have commented on any of this. We don’t expect this to change for several reasons, but if it does, we’ll make sure to update the story accordingly.
