Xbox Series X restocking at Target today was easiest yet – when to get it next

The Target Xbox Series X replenishment today, May 18, was the easiest to obtain yet, according to our Xbox Series X Matt Swider Replenishment Twitter Tracker. Matt sent out a Twitter alert at 7:50 a.m. EDT this morning, noting that the Microsoft console was in stock. This Target Xbox restocking took 25 minutes, although some slots sold out faster than others. Although Target requires in-person pickup, you must purchase the Xbox Series X online – there is no appointment, according to officials at Target. Where will the Xbox Series X restock next? There are other retailers in the US ready and waiting to roll out for console stock, and Matt Swider will alert you – if you follow their Twitter account and activate notifications.

Matt Swider is tracking Xbox Series X restocking opportunities at 12 different stores across the United States. Here is an example of the alert you will receive if you follow his Twitter account.

Will Target sell the Xbox Series X in stores?

No, Target will not be selling the Xbox Series X in stores at this time. Instead, you’ll be able to purchase the console online at Target.com for same-day in-store pickup.

“[Customers] shouldn’t go to Target to buy an Xbox, “urged one of our sources we spoke to today.” It will only be sold online and you can pick it up later in the store. “When we asked when in-store shopping can resume, we were told, ‘We’re not there yet’.

In other words, the Xbox Series X won’t be sold at Target on demand, and the retail chain employees don’t want to be asked endlessly about a console they don’t have in stock. Either you arrive with an order email or you don’t receive an Xbox.

TechRadar has contacted Target’s official communication channels and we will update this news report as soon as we have a response.

It’s just Xbox for now, not PS5

This week’s Target news applies to both the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S, and we saw a few Walmart stores start restocking the S Series last week. It’s officially a trend.

However, the PS5 replenishment plans are not part of this change in Target’s replenishment strategy. The company will stick to specific PS5 release dates, and we’ll continue to update our Twitter tracker as consoles become available in the US.

Next Xbox Series X restock at Walmart?

Matt has sent out Xbox Series X restock alerts to all retailers in the United States, and now it looks like the vast Xbox Target inventory he reported this week is now for online shopping, which could begin tomorrow, the May 18.

Beyond that we can see Walmart restocks Xbox Thursday, May 20 at 2:30 p.m. (also online), although this is not yet confirmed (we usually know this from our Walmart replenishment sources at 12:00 p.m. EDT on Thursday). Walmart has also stocked the Xbox Series S in stores (where can it be picked up). So we’ll be watching to see if that also changes strategy.

Best buy is also late to have the Xbox Series X in stock. There was a restock on Monday two weeks ago late afternoon, so we got to see Best Buy repeat their Microsoft Console sale today or this week.

Antonline is another source of restocking consoles that we track daily, and the US store, while small, has shipped the Xbox Series X console to its customers very quickly. Here’s the only thing to know: While Antonline replenishes at least one next-gen console per week, the Xbox Series X has been in stock recently, and it may be Sony’s turn this week.

Microsoft Store Xbox Series X replenishment

When will Microsoft restock the Xbox Series X? We always suggest checking in with us every Sunday in May 2021 at 11:59 p.m. EDT / 8:59 p.m. PDT. While we believe it’s in stock by midnight, since it’s technically Monday morning, we want to be as clear as possible in our advice and avoid confusion around when you can buy the Xbox Series X. That’s Sunday night before you. go to sleep for monday.

What to do when it’s in stock at Microsoft: You should keep trying to buy it for at least 30 minutes from the Microsoft Store – with lots of refresh even though it’s out of stock. Why? Thousands of people will try to buy the Microsoft console, and many will fail to correctly add their credit card details or give up on buying it (a lot of people just like to see if they can buy it). After a few minutes (approximately 15 minutes), this inventory will return to the Microsoft Store system and be available for purchase again. This is our best advice: don’t give up trying to buy the Xbox Series X.

What you should not do: Most people see Matt Swider’s initial Xbox Series X restocking Twitter alert at midnight, and they immediately go to the Xbox website to purchase it only to see the Add to Cart button saying “ Out of stock. stock ”. Frustrated, they reply to Matt with a message like “Out of stock” or “Here we go.” However, what they should do is stick with the Microsoft website and constantly refresh the page.

Xbox Series X restocking Matt Swider’s Twitter updates

Matt Swider’s Xbox Series X Replenishment Twitter account will continue to tell you when and where the next US replenishment location is. There is no shortage of people who still need the Microsoft console.

However, US stores can start to shift Xbox Series X restocking opportunities to in-store purchases and inventory can be done locally, making the console more difficult to track. We don’t expect this to last very long, however, and online shopping during the holidays will be harder to come by and these restock dates will once again become the norm during Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
